Plungees were featured in the Tempo section of the Chicago Tribune on November 1, 2000. The article was entitled "Decorator touch brings plunger out of water closet" and was written by Charles Leroux. It outlined the origin of the idea and the entrepreneurial spirit in bringing Plungees to market. It featured a picture of the Golf Plungees.
That article was syndicated and rerun across the country with some fun new headlines, such as "It's the Plunger Lady!", Richmond Times, referring to Linda Rudnick, owner of Ellie Designs, maker of Plungees.
Radio
WBBM Radio 780 AM in Chicago featured Plungees in their "Made in Chicago" segment, which highlights businesses in Chicago that offer interesting products or services. The Plungees segment aired on Monday, April 23, 2001 and Saturday, April 28, 2001.
KFRC San Diego featured Plungees as one of their twelve gifts for Christmas, an annual event at that station where they recommend one gift per day for the 12 days of Christmas.
